MOMENTIVE TO SHOWCASE INVISISIL* SNAP CURE SILICONES AT DISPLAY WEEK 2015
五月 22, 2015
WATERFORD, N.Y. (May 22, 2015) –Momentive Performance Materials Inc. (Momentive) will demonstrate its most recent innovation in optical bonding at the Society for Information Display’s (SID) Display Week 2015 in San Jose, California June 2-4.
Momentive’s patented InvisiSil Snap Cure systems cure rapidly at room temperature without the need for UV exposure. This unique material design can eliminate the problem of shadow cure completely, while enabling users to rework materials for up to 2 days. And because the material is a silicone, it typically has a low yellowing index, low CTE, and shrinkage of < 0.5% during cure, providing optical clarity and reducing the chances that thin panels will warp and cause “mura” defects.
“The next generation of automotive displays consists of challenging design elements such as curved screens, shadow parts, plastic screens, and full lamination,” said InGui Park, Global Program Leader at Momentive. “Our InvisiSil Snap Cure silicones are well-suited to address these challenges and are rapidly being adopted as the standard in the automotive market. They are formulated to be optically clear, allowing for improved readability of displays in bright light, while providing wider design freedom and higher yields for our customers.”
Makoto Sakakibara will deliver a presentation on New Optical Bonding System “Snap-Cure” as part of the Materials and Glass for Displays session on Wed. June 3 at 12 p.m. in Executive Ballroom 210.
Representatives from Momentive will be demonstrating the Snap Cure technology in booth 1734.
