Niax™ Silicone L-5360
HIGH YIELD, LONG SHELF LIFE
Niax silicone L-5360 is an organo-silicone copolymer to consider for use in one-component moisture cured foams and low-density open-celled foams manufactured by spray or pour-in-place, as well as other rigid polyurethane and polyisocyanurate foams. Typically offering an excellent balance of high foam yield and dimensional stability - even at low temperatures - Niax silicone L-5360 is compatible and nonreactive when used with commercial isocyanates used by the rigid-foam industry.

Niax silicone L-5360 is an excellent candidate to consider for stabilizing one-component fixing foams produced with polyether or polyester polyols, as well as propane-/butane-rich propellant mixtures and low-temperature applications. It also helps provide a high yield in gun foams, allowing high propellant levels to be used.
Niax silicone L-5360's excellent compatibility with isocyanate and low reactivity can reduce thickening in prepolymer mixtures. As a result, it generally can deliver extended shelf life under a wide variety of storage conditions.
Potential applications for Niax silicone L-5360 include:
- One-component moisture cured foams
- Isocyanate side stabilizer for low-pressure, two-component system for packaging, sealants, adhesives and spray polyurethane or polyisocyanurate foams
