An excellent candidate to consider for use in the production of microcellular integral-skin applications such as shoe soles and steering wheels, Niax catalyst A-537 features a unique delayed action during the gelling, or urethane forming, reaction. The liquid, water-soluble tertiary amine agent helps delay cream time and extends pour time - useful benefits for the creation of complex parts.

More About Niax™ Catalyst A-537

Niax catalyst A-537 belongs to a new class of catalysts that significantly enhance the performance and production of a wide variety of molded polyurethane foams. This delayed-action TEDA based catalyst offers improved flowability as a direct result of delayed cream time and extended pour time. Additionally, foam cure and demold time can be significantly better than most delayed-action catalysts on the market. 

Potential applications for Niax catalyst A-537 include: 

  • Microcellular integral-skin applications such as shoe soles and steering wheels
  • Two-component systems where long cream time and fast cure are desired
  • As an endcure catalyst in combination with a blowing catalyst, to potentially increase productivity
