Low Odor, Powerful Catalytic Effect

A liquid, water-soluble tertiary amine catalyst, Niax catalyst A-30 helps promote an effective reaction between water and isocyanate in the production of flexible polyester polyurethane foam - without the unpleasant odor associated with conventional ester foam catalysts. A highly active catalytic agent, this compound may be used at much lower levels than traditional catalysts.

NIax catalyst A-30 is a liquid, low odor, water-soluble tertiary amine composition specifically designed for the production of flexible polyester polyurethane foam.


More About Niax* Catalyst A-30

Formulated to produce minimal odor, this catalytic agent is an excellent choice to consider over highly odorous conventional ester foam agents like N-methylmorpholine, N-ethylmorpholine or dimethylbenzylamine. Highly active at just 0.3 pphp to 0.4 pphp compared to 2.0 pphp of N-ethylmorpholine, it may also be a more economical option in the production of polyester polyurethane foam.   

Niax catalyst A-30 also may have some catalytic effect on the gelation reaction, in addition to its powerful promotion of the water and isocyanate reaction. Its good processing characteristics can help lead to exceptional quality in flexible polyester polyurethane foam final products.
