Momentive’s super-spreader products offer the surface tension reduction and stability required to enhance the spreading, wetting and penetrating characteristics of product formulations for numerous industrial- and consumer-facing applications. Our super-spreaders can deliver exceptional sheeting and super-wetting properties to improve products and processes for industries including personal care, textiles, automotive and home care.
Our super-spreaders typically increase the spreading area of aqueous product formulations for better coverage. That includes both uniform dispersion within product solutions, as well as broader, more even coverage when applying products to surfaces. These capabilities may enable end users to apply less product per application.
In the personal care market, our Silsoft* super-spreaders help skin care and hair care products spread rapidly on the skin or down each individual hair. They can enhance the color penetration of hair dyes and the conditioning and gloss properties of shampoos and conditioners. And they can enable anti-aging creams, lotions and cosmetics to spread more effectively for less rub-in time.
